Clark County, through CCSS, is responsible for providing reimbursement to a contracted crematory, cemetery, funeral establishment or direct cremation facility for the cremation or burial of indigent individuals who die within Clark County and who meet eligibility guidelines.

The assistance is also available for residents who die outside of Clark County, if they were sent out of Clark County by CCSS for nursing, home placement or hospital care.

Referrals are accepted only from crematories, cemeteries, funeral establishments or direct cremation facilities that are contracted with CCSS or the Clark County Public Administrator (PA) / Public Guardian (PG) office.
