Starting Wednesday, Jan. 31 Clark County and participating government agencies will host two online surplus auctions – one for vehicles and equipment and a separate one for miscellaneous items – on JJ Kane Auction’s website at www.jjkane.com.
The auctions feature items used or acquired by area police and government agencies including cars, trucks, construction equipment, computers, electronics, and office equipment. Bidding for the vehicles and equipment sale opens at 9 a.m. on Wednesday Jan. 31, and closes at 9 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5. Bidding for the miscellaneous auction opens at 9 a.m. on Jan. 31 and closes at 9 a.m. on Feb. 6. Catalogs listing hundreds of items to be sold are available for viewing on JJ Kane’s website and get updated regularly as the sales dates get closer. Information about registering as a bidder is on the website in addition to the terms and conditions for participation.
Feb. 2 & 3 Public Preview: Many of the items to be sold at auction can be seen in-person at the TNT Auction (now doing business as JJ Kane Auction) during an on-site preview on Friday, Feb. 2, and Saturday, Feb. 3. The lot is located at 14655 Grand Valley Parkway in North Las Vegas southwest of I-15 and Exit 58. The lot will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both preview days. About 200 vehicles and 300 lots of miscellaneous items will be sold.
“The preview is an opportunity for interested bidders to see some of the items in person before placing your bids online,” said Jeff Benites, manager of Clark County’s Automotive Services Division.
Clark County is working with JJ Kane Auction to host the auction. The government surplus auctions are typically held three times a year in February, May and November to sell vehicles and equipment used or acquired by government agencies.
