Motorists are advised that Las Vegas Boulevard will have one southbound travel lane open between Park Avenue and Tropicana Avenue from Sunday evening through approximately 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, for roadwork occurring as part of Clark County’s Las Vegas Boulevard Improvement Project. Most of the work associated with this project is occurring Sunday evenings through Friday mornings from 11 p.m. to 9 a.m. The schedule of upcoming lane restrictions related to the project is as follows:

Las Vegas Boulevard excavation & pavement resurfacing (24-hour lane restrictions)

• Starting at 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 12 through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, Las Vegas Boulevard from Park Avenue to Tropicana Avenue is scheduled to have one lane open southbound 24 hours a day for roadway excavation and paving operations. Additional lanes may be open as possible while the work progresses. These additional impacts will occur:
  • Park Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 12, through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14. There will be no east-west traffic across Park Avenue at the intersection of Park Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard during this time.
  • All southbound left turn lanes on Las Vegas Boulevard at Park Avenue will remain open.
  • Northbound left turn lanes on Las Vegas Boulevard at Park Avenue will be closed.

Las Vegas Boulevard waterline, communication & electrical work (work hours 12 a.m. to 9 a.m.)

• Through Friday, May 31, Las Vegas Boulevard from Tropicana Avenue to Aria has one lane open northbound.
• Through Friday, May 31, Las Vegas Boulevard from Harmon Avenue to Flamingo Road will have two lanes open northbound for waterline work.
• Starting Monday, May 20, through Friday, May 24, Las Vegas Boulevard from Harmon Avenue to Flamingo Road will have two lanes open northbound.

Tropicana Avenue Work Zone (work hours 11 p.m. to 9 a.m.)

• Through Friday, May 31, Tropicana Avenue from Las Vegas Boulevard to Koval Lane will have two lanes open eastbound for median island removal.

This work is part of Phase E & F of a multi-phase project under way on Las Vegas Boulevard to upgrade infrastructure between Sahara Avenue and the 215 Beltway. Each phase includes water line replacement, new

pavement, intersection modifications to improve pedestrian crossings, upgrades to traffic signals, LED street

lighting systems with smart poles and enhanced median landscaping.  Commuters are advised that several agencies have construction projects under way in the resort corridor. Due to the fluid nature of construction activity and traffic conditions, work schedules can change on short notice. Motorists should check navigation apps such as Waze, Google Maps or Apple Maps for the latest real-time information as they head out.

• RTC bus stop 1405 Las Vegas Boulevard northbound before Tropicana is closed. The closest northbound Las Vegas Boulevard bus stop is 1371 at MGM/Showcase Mall.
• RTC bus stop 2812 Tropicana eastbound after Las Vegas Boulevard is closed.
